Face impositions and other common deepfake tricks can also be found with Agrawala’s solution. As with all AI applications, a lot depends on what information is given to the algorithm. But even this variable shows that there is a link between deepfake technology and the way to stop it.

Deepfakes use made-up data and datasets that are extrapolated from real-world events to cover a wide range of situations. For example, artificial data algorithms can use information from an incident on a military battlefield to create more incidents. These algorithms can change things like the state of the ground, the readiness of the participants, the state of the weapons, etc., and feed that information into simulations.
