QuadAttacK is a software tool that Wu and his partners developed. Its purpose is to evaluate deep neural networks for vulnerabilities that adversaries could exploit. To learn how the system perceives data, this tool examines the decision-making processes of artificial intelligence.

QuadAttacK then manipulates the data to evaluate the behavior of the artificial intelligence system, thereby identifying weaknesses and demonstrating how attackers could trick the system.

Surprisingly, the research discovered that deep neural networks that are frequently utilized, such as ResNet-50, DenseNet-121, ViT-B, and DEiT-S, are highly vulnerable to attacks from adversaries.

QuadAttacK has been rendered accessible to the general public to facilitate the evaluation of neural networks for vulnerabilities by the broader scientific community.

“Now that we have a better understanding of these vulnerabilities, the next step is to establish methods to reduce the severity of those vulnerabilities. Wu pointed out that although we already have some potential solutions, the study’s outcomes are still being developed.
