Galaxy S23 vs. iPhone 14: Battery Life
Because we haven’t tested the Galaxy S23 phones yet, we don’t know how long the batteries will last. However, we are aware of the dimensions of each device’s batteries. The batteries for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are in Power and Performance 3,900mAh, 4,700mAh, and 5,000mAh, respectively. The battery in the Ultra is the same size as the one in the model from a year ago, which completed our battery drain test after 12 hours and 14 minutes.
Generally speaking, iPhone batteries fall short of those of rivals, at least in terms of capacity. The 14 Pro Max, for instance, has a 4,323mAh cell with best Power and Performance, which is considerably less than the battery in Samsung’s comparable Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, in our identical battery test, the iPhone 14 Pro Max performed astonishingly well, lasting 19 hours.
Samsung obviously outperforms Apple in one area: charging speed. On its two more expensive Galaxy S23 phones, it provides cable charging at up to 45W. Apple, meanwhile, only provides 20W wired charging. Both device families are compatible with 15W wireless charging rates. You must buy a charger separately because neither phone comes with one in the box.
Galaxy S23 vs. iPhone 14: Display
The screens on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro both measure 6.1 inches having best Power and Performance, while those on the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max measure 6.7 inches. The Samsung S23 has a 6.1-inch screen as its base model, a 6.6-inch screen for the S23+, and a 6.8-inch screen for the S23 Ultra. The S23 Ultra is the winner if your top priority is simply owning the largest screen you can.
The gadgets are comparable in terms of resolution across the board. The resolution of the iPhone 14 is 2,532 by 1,170 pixels (457ppi). The iPhone has a little greater pixel density than the 2,340 by 1,080 screen (422ppi) of the standard Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23+ and iPhone 14 Plus are likewise pretty comparable, with the S23display +’s supporting 2,340 by 1,080 pixels and the iPhone’s having a resolution of 2,778 by 1,284 pixels (457ppi) (390ppi). The 48MP main camera and second-generation sensor-shift OIS on Apple’s top-tier iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max provide optimum stability. Aside from the 10x telephoto lens on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, you also get 12MP ultra-wide and 3x telephoto cameras.
Samsung has a tiny advantage over Apple in terms of video because its phones can record up to 8K at 30fps while Apple’s handsets can only record in 4K at 60fps. The iPhone does, however, enable Pro Res and a sophisticated stabilisation Action Mode.
Galaxy S23 vs. iPhone 14: Connectivity
